Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actor most famously known for her portrayal of Bo from the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Silk is the daughter Peter an academic, and Ilkay Silk, an acclaimed actress director producer playwright educator and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Some of Anna's earliest impressions were of practice sessions for her children and watching her mom work. Silk appeared in several commercials while she was young. In 1997, she earned a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk made the move to Toronto in order to develop her acting skills in November 1999. She then, over the decade that followed, she relocated to Los Angeles California. She met her future spouse, Seth Cooperman, at the workshop for actors held in Los Angeles in 2007. They were engaged during 2009 and then married during a civil ceremony December that same year. In April of 2011, they renewed their vows in a Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton following her conversion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. Levi Aaron, her second son was born on May 13 in 2016. Silk's TV appearances include her role as Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. Silk was offered the role of Bo Dennis, a succubus in the Canadian TV show Lost Girl in 2009. Silk was pregnant when she was shooting the finale of the third series. She announced the pregnancy to fans during the Showcase Season Three pre-show special on January 6, 2013. Silk revealed via Twitter on 20 June 2013 that the show was coming back to production. The fourth season debuted on the 4th of June 2013 and was produced by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. The character she played Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers in the show Lost Girl was named one of the most popular TV Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and declared Top TV Couple of 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Silk's successes have led to an enormous online following on social networks.
